Aaron Hernandez's trouble with the law apparently extends to domestic violence.
The former Patriots tight end, being held in a Massachusetts jail on murder charges, had cops come to his rental home near Los Angeles last year after he got into a physical altercation with his fiancee, according to TMZ.
A neighbor reported "fighting" between Hernandez and Shayanna Jenkins while Hernandez was renting a place in Hermosa Beach in June 2012. Jenkins declined to press charges when the police arrived, so no arrest was made, the site reports.
That wasn't the only time cops were on the scene, either. Noise complaints from other neighbors drew police to the home and Hernandez "acted like an a—hole" when they arrived, a source told TMZ.
Hernandez still owns the rental, a source tells the website, but cops have not gotten a warrant to search it.
The 23-year-old football star was arrested Wednesday on charges of murder – and five other gun-related charges – in the alleged "execution"-style killing of Odin Lloyd, the boyfriend of Jenkins' sister. Lloyd's body was found a half mile from Hernandez's home in North Attleboro, Mass.
On Monday, Hernandez was moved to a new cell – a small cell block where he has no one-on-one interaction with inmates at the Bristol County House of Correction, according to the Fall River (Mass.) Herald News.
Hernandez is being held without bail. He was moved after spending five days in a medical cell unit.
"We want to assess how he does in an area where he's going to be exposed to other people, though not face to face," Bristol County sheriff Thomas Hodgson told the paper.
