Cris Carter, who will be inducted into the Football Hall of Fame tomorrow night, says Riley Cooper will be targeted by defensive backs after his racial slur.
CANTON -- Cris Carter, who will be inducted into the Hall of Fame tomorrow night, is certain that Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper will be a marked man.
"Ninety-five percent of defensive backs in the NFL are African-American," Carter told The Post. "What do you think?"
Carter, who also played wideout, knows that NFL life as Cooper knew it has changed.
"It's a difficult situation, and it's not gonna go away," Carter said. "This is what I do know - - everyone on that team is not gonna forgive him."

Riley Cooper was fined by the Eagles for using a racial slur at a Kenny Chesney concert that was caught on video, leading him to say he's "ashamed and disgusted" with himself.
Cooper has apologized to his teammates and in the media for using the N-word and the Eagles organization has fined him and sent him for sensitivity training and counseling.
"In life, no matter what business you're in, there are certain things you never do," Carter said. "Sports is one of the few places where there's very little racism, or it's not the real world. Black kids are used to playing with white kids, white kids are used to playing with black kids. That's one of the great things about sports and what it does for people.
"When you're on a roster, and you have 40 African-Americans, and you say something like that. . .that's just hard to explain to everybody."
Asked how he would handle Cooper if they were teammates, Carter said: "It depends on how well I knew him. It depends on some other things."
