The jury in former Goldman Sachs trader Fabrice Tourre's high profile civil trial sent a note posing three questions.
The questions suggest the jury may be nearing a verdict in the three-week long case that could see Tourre found guilty of at least three of the seven counts he is facing.
One jury question centered on Section 17 a3 of securities law and asked if the nine-person jury can find liable if they think he operated a fraud or tried to deceive.
Judge Katherine Forrest instructed the jury that any one element is sufficient to find liability in that count.

The jury also asked if Tourre's base salary satisfy the requirement for finding liability in the "obtained property component of Section 17 a2.
That question is still outstanding and will be provided to the jury soon.
At first blush, Judge Forrest told the courtroom, without jurors present, that she believes salary isn't enough.
Securities and Exchange Commission attorney Matthew Martens argued that salary may be enough and cited case law as an example.
The jury consisting of five women and four men has demonstrated attentiveness over the course of hours-long deliberation.
They've also requested an email between former No.2 at Paulson and Co. hedge fund Paolo Pellegrini and Fabrice Tourre in February 2009 that appeared to be a request by Tourre for a job.
