Dinner at the Gilmour house might be a little uncomfortable this week.

NHL Hall of Famer Doug Gilmour, now the GM of the Kingston Frontenacs of the OHL, drafted his son, Jake, in the eighth round of last year's draft. But Gilmour decided to trade his son away this week, and he didn't get much in return.

The Fronts sent Jake, goaltender Blake Richard to the Niagara Ice Dogs for a 12th-round pick in next year's draft.

Doug played 20 seasons in the NHL for the Blues, Flames, Maple Leafs, Devils, Blackhawks, Sabres and Canadiens.
