It was a hellish Hanukkah for a publicity princess and her writer hubby, who claim they were thrown in the slammer over a tow row during a holiday shopping trip.
Amy Krakow, 63, and her TheStreet.com spouse Gary Krakow, 62, say they were roughed up by cops and jailed for 24 hours last December when they objected to their car being towed, according to a lawsuit.
The couple stowed their vehicle in a private lot to go shopping at Fairway in Harlem for a Hanukkah party, and they returned to find the vehicle about to be hooked "without being [shown] any authority for such action," they claim in Manhattan Supreme Court papers.
They called the cops, but when they arrived one hauled Amy Krakow out of the car.
And she was doubly appalled when he called her "elderly."
A cop threw her up against the police car, bruising her, according to court papers.
The couple was charged with obstructing governmental administration and released from jail 24 hours later. The charges were later dismissed, according to the lawsuit they filed against the officers and the city seeking unspecified damages.
