Driver busted after ‘killing’ 2 pedestrians

A 22-year-old was taken into police custody after killing two pedestrians in Elmhurst on Monday, law enforcement sources said.

The driver was speeding westbound on Queens Boulevard around 7:30 a.m., when he lost control of his Chevy Camaro, hit a phone booth and two parked cars, jumped the curb near Broadway and killed two men, ages 59 and 41, sources said.

The elder victim died at the scene. The younger man was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver, whose name has not been released, had two open warrants, sources added.
