At least three people were injured when a driving winds caused a scaffolding collapse in Times Square, authorities said.

The Midtown scaffolding at 147 w 40 St. collapsed around 10:00 a.m. and trapped at least three people underneath.

The plywood and metal wall was knocked over by the wind and landed on the three victims, two women and a man.

At least two good Samaritans pulled the two women from the debris and they were covered with metal and plywood, witnesses said.

Aziz Ahmady,52, of Brooklyn was serving coffee to one of his customers out of a food cart when a gust of wind sent the plywood and metal wall toppling over, he explained.

"There were two older Chinese ladies we saw get trapped underneath the falling debris. We could hear them sort of crying out for help underneath. I just tried to pick up the pieces then we heard the second lady," he said.

All of the victims were conscious.

The plywood wall was outside of a restaurant that is under construction moments before it came flying down the Northwest corner on Seventh Avenue and 40 street.

The fire chief on scene said the three victims were being treated at Bellevue Hospital.
