An apparent suicide on the Henry Hudson Bridge has disrupted Metro-North service Tuesday morning, authorities said.
A Metro-North train engineer heading towards Grand Central spotted what looked like a body under the platform at the Spuyten Duyvil station about 9:45 a.m., according to a spokeswoman.
The MTA police found the body of a man at the scene, and power was shut off on the third rail.
He has not been identified, and his death is under investigation by the MTA police and the NYPD.
Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority officers also spotted an abandoned car near Kappock Street with a note inside from someone who planned to jump off the bridge.
There was no northbound service on the Hudson line at Grand Central because of the police investigation until 10:35 a.m., and two southbound trains on the line were also delayed, authorities added.
There were residual delays of 10 to 15 minutes near Spuyten Duyvil.
