La Roux, the synthpop duo imported from Britain, is back with a brand-new single and a planned second album. The new track, "Let Me Down Gently," is a midtempo jam, far more subdued than the act's inescapable 2009 hit, "Bulletproof," which topped out at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The single premiered on a BBC radio show Tuesday night, where it was also announced that the sophomore album, "Trouble in Paradise," will hit shelves July 8.
A tour will also hit North America beginning June 1.
