Man brought back to life after heart attack during triathlon

A man was brought back to life after suffering an apparent heart attack during a triathlon in New York on Sunday.

The race participant was in the Hudson River, off West 79th street around 8:10 a.m., when he suffered the life-threatening emergency, officials said.

Event organizers on kayaks, jet skis and rescue boards got to the victim as the FDNY was called. Emergency crews aboard Marine One Bravo got the victim aboard, administered medication and CPR and saved his life, authorities said.
