The Jets re-signed cornerback Ellis Lankster on Friday morning.

Lankster, who practiced Friday, spent the last three years with the Jets – playing 15 games in both 2012 and 2013 – and was also with them through training camp before being cut on Sept. 1.

He took the spot vacated by the team waiving fellow corner Leon McFadden, who had been inactive for Sunday's home win over the Raiders. By adding Lankster, the Jets now have six corners – including converted safety Antonio Allen – on the roster.
