Some MTA drivers have halted bus service during the Wednesday morning commute because a fellow driver was charged with a crime when he fatally hit a pedestrian Tuesday night, sources told The Post.
Reginald Prescott, 57, was behind the wheel of the Brooklyn B44 bus going east on Farragut Road around 6 p.m. when he hung a left and hit 78-year-old Jean Bonne-Annee as he was crossing in the crosswalk on New York Avenue, police sources said.
Prescott remained on scene, where Bonne-Annee was pronounced dead by EMS, officials said. He was steps from his home.
Prescott was charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian, a charge that the protesters believe he didn't deserve, sources said.
