"Married at First Sight" will return with new episodes in March — and the buzzy reality series is moving from FYI to the bigger A&E network for its second season.
The show — which follows three couples who are matched up by experts and meet at the altar — will unveil its newest arranged marriages in the two-hour premiere on Tuesday, March 17 at 9 p.m. on A&E.
A different version of "Married at First Sight"s 13-episode second season will also air Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on FYI, incorporating home video footage shot by the couples.
A&E is available in 96 million homes, while FYI reaches 71 million. The first season of the show averaged 919,000 viewers on FYI.
"'Married at First Sight' captivated audiences in its first season on FYI with the unconventional journey of people searching for true love," A+E Networks said in a statement. "Due to the overwhelming response, we are excited to have the opportunity to expose the series to a bigger audience by moving the original series to A&E and creating a unique version for fans on FYI."
Two of the three couples from the show's first season chose to stay married at the end of the social experiment, and currently star in the spinoff series "Married at First Sight: The First Year" on FYI.
