Amanda Knox may return to Italy

Amanda Knox is planning a trip to, of all places, Italy.

Knox wants to live there and write a book about the country's legal system, her lawyer said Saturday, one day after a Roman court ruled she no longer has to fear spending the next quarter-century in prison there for murder.

Knox has no hard feelings against Italy, Carlo Dalla Vedova told the Sunday Times of London, despite her eight-year ordeal of being twice convicted and cleared in the 2007 murder of her British roommate, Meredith Kercher, and despite her four years stuck in an Italian prison.

Before Friday's verdict clearing her and her Italian ex-boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, once and for all in the brutal slashing murder, Knox had vowed never to return to Italy willingly.

"She never had any [feelings of] revenge about what happened," the lawyer said. "She always liked Italy; that's why she came here."
