It looks like there's no love lost between LeSean McCoy and Chip Kelly.
The former Philadelphia Eagles running back, who was shipped up to the Buffalo in a blockbuster trade last week, turned to social media to thank his supporters Thursday. While McCoy made it a point to thank the organization and former coach Andy Reid, Kelly didn't make the cut.
"My 6 years have been great and I will miss the great fans n fun times as a eagle .. Mr. Lurie n Andy Reid than u for taking the young kid from Harrisburg pa and making him a man."
Though it's unclear how the Rex Ryan-Shady McCoy dynamic will play out, it seems Kelly has been ready to move on from the Pro Bowl-caliber back since last year.
"I had a chance to talk to LeSean McCoy a few weeks ago, and he expressed to me [that] he did not think he was coming back to Philly next season," NFL Network analyst LaDainain Tomlinson reported earlier this month. "He talked about [how] he and Chip Kelly's relationship had become a little strained, and he just did not think Philly was committed to him. He actually thought Chip kind of phased him out of the offense at times last year."
McCoy will bring a spark to the Bills' offense next season. As for Kelly's Eagles, well, they already have a shiny (and speedy) new toy to play with.
