Katy, John cozy up on two dates following pop star’s ‘madly in love’ reveal

Back together? Looks like Katy Perry and John Mayer may have relit some fireworks.

The two reportedly cozied up at the Greenwich Hotel on Saturday night and appeared "lovey dovey" at the Friars Foundation's annual Applause Award Gala for Don Rickles held yesterday at the Waldorf-Astoria.

Perry, 28, said in a recent interview with Vogue that she still had feelings for the "Paper Doll" crooner after their split in March.

"I was madly in love with him. I still am madly in love with him," she said. "Beautiful mind, tortured soul." However she admitted, "I do have to figure out why I am attracted to these broken birds."

Mayer, 35, arrived at the Friars event solo, but was joined by Perry shortly thereafter.

"Katy arrived after the event had already started, but before dinner was served," a source said. "A waiter brought a chair to John's table for her just before her arrival."

The source added that they were "affectionate," "very lovey-dovey" and "were smooching and rubbing one another's backs."

Despite the off-and-on romance, Perry insisted to Vogue, "I'm not in a relationship, I'm just on my own — I am myself in my own bed."

She added, "I have to be happy being alone, and I am happy. I believe that I will be loved again, in the right way. I know I'm worth it."
