James Gandolfini died June 19 in Italy. He was 51.
Stars flocked to the funeral of James Gandolfini to mourn the loss of the beloved actor at Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine in Morningside Heights this morning.
New York City-based actors — including Alec Baldwin, Steve Buscemi and several members of "The Soprano's" cast — were spotted chatting and hugging near the church before entering the 1,500-seat ceremony.

Aida Turturro — who played Gandolfini's sister in the hit show — along with creator of the show, David Chase, were among the first to arrive.

Other guests included the actor's widow Deborah Lin Gandolfini, who gave a heartfelt tribute to the actor.
"My husband cared more about others than himself," Deborah Lin Gandolfini said, according to the Wall Street Journal.
She added,"Thank you for loving me and believing in me... I love you Jim and I always will."
A family friend, Tomas Richardson, added that the star died far before his time.
"He had so much more to give," Richardson said.

Longtime pal Susan Aston added he was selfless friend and a wonderful man.
"Our beloved Jim's ability to remain vulnerable and keep his heart open in his life and work is what allowed us to feel connected to him," Aston said.
Members of the public were allowed to attend after invited guests.
Police blocked of sides streets for the service and HBO representatives acted as ushers.
Gandolfini died from a heart attack on June 19 while in Rome.
