It's hardly the cover shot she wanted the world to see. The Palm Springs Police department has released a mug shot of "America's Next Top Model" contestant Renee Alway following her six-hour standoff with police officers last month.
Alway – a finalist in cycle eight of Tyra Banks' long-running model competition – is virtually unrecognizable with her bruised and scabbed face, disheveled hair and downcast eyes in the mug shot.
The former TV star was arrested June 28 in Palm Springs, California after a six-hour standoff with police at a condominium, according to reports. She was allegedly spotted walking around an empty home while carrying a gun.

The 27-year-old modeling contestant was arrested on a string of charges including burglary, fraud and possession of a controlled substance, Palm Springs police said in a statement.
It was Alway's third arrest this year, police told KTLA News.
Before "ANTM," Alway was a stay-at-home mom to her young son, Troy.
