If Fashion Week is a mélange of confusion, jostling past street fashion photographers and hanger-ons, and throbbing rock music, the Zac Posen show feels like a civilized night at the opera with classical music, impeccably dressed starlets and drama. And the signature Posen elegance and pageantry is alive and well. While his dresses and gowns are generally more structured and serious, the latest crop was more fluid, feminine and romantic. Set to "evoke a modern day Sarah Bernhardt," the collection juxtaposed silk corsets with airy ruffles, draping and fluttery details. The palette was varying hues of violet, pinks soft yellows and greens. And true to the fanciful theme, the models wore of a bird nest of twists that was adorned with small flowers.

A stunning rose colored draped tulle and organza evening gown that exemplified the ethos of the collection.
