Chrysler's much anticipated initial public offering has been stalled until next year, according to its owner Fiat Motors.
Shares in Fiat fell more than 2 percent in European trading Monday, exon the news.
Fiat said it was not possible to say if and when such an offer would be made as this depends on market conditions..
The Italian automaker said it expected Chrysler to continue working on the necessary steps to enable an initial public offering to be launched in the first quarter of 2014.
