LIRR suspends service between Jamaica and Penn Station

Long Island riders are facing a snag this morning after the LIRR suspended service between Penn Station and Jamaica in both directions.

The MTA is investigating whether a power problem or issue with the signal is disrupting service, according to a spokeswoman.

Service was stopped at 9:45 a.m.

Straphangers will have to use the subway to travel between the Jamaica station and Penn Station.
