Four people were killed and three others are fighting for their lives after a vehicle swerved into oncoming traffic in Nassau County on Saturday night, cops said.
The collision happened just after midnight, when a 2001 Nissan was traveling westbound on Conklin Street near Oaklview Avenue in Farmingdale, according to authorities.
The driver, who has not yet been identified, swerved into the eastbound lane when it was struck by a GMC Suburban, cops said.
Two people were ejected from the 2001 Nissan.
One of the two was killed on impact, cops said.
The second passenger was rushed to an area hospital in serious condition.
The Nissan's driver along with another man and woman were discovered dead inside the vehicle, according to police.
The 53-year-old driver of the GMC Suburban and a female passenger are listed in critical condition.
Both vehicles were impounded for brake and safety checks, cops said.
The investigation is ongoing, cops said.
