A fifth teenager has died from a devastating weekend car crash that had killed four other Farmingdale High School students, officials said Monday.
Cody Talanian, 17, was pronounced dead at 10 p.m. on Sunday, succumbing to injuries suffered in the early Saturday morning accident, according to Nassau police.
Four other Farmingdale HS students — Jesse Romero, 18, Carly Lonnborg, 14, Tristan Reichle, 17, and Noah Francis, 15 — also died in the horrific smash-up after eating and playing games at Dave & Buster's, said Romero's shattered brother, Dalvi.
"They had just gone out for the night. Just a normal night, and then this happened," the brother said at his sibling's wake.
Nassau cops on Monday police identified Reichle as the driver.
Dalvi Romero said he was told by several of his brother's friends that they were in another car racing the doomed teens when their vehicle slammed into an SUV.
Cops are still investigating and haven't yet ruled the accident to be the result of a drag race, police said Monday.
"My wife, she can't believe it," said Romero's father.
"She can't talk much. My whole family, we are all shocked as she is. I can't believe it either. They just came and gave us the bad news."
A friend at Romero's wake, who declined to give his name, also told The Post he was in the other car racing Romero's group.
Dalvi Romero said his brother was terrified of car crashes — and even predicted that he'd end up dying in one some day.
"I always told him, 'Nah man, you're good,' " the heartbroken brother said.
The teenagers were in a 2001 Nissan going west on Conklin Street at 12:04 a.m. Saturday, when they crossed into eastbound lanes and slammed into a GMC Suburban, police said.
The SUV's driver, 53, and his female passenger were in serious condition.
Grief counselors were at Farmingdale HS on Monday to meet with devastated friends of the five students.
"This has been a heartbreaking time for our Farmingdale School District community as well as the greater Farmingdale community," Farmingdale schools Superintendent John Lorentz said Monday.
"There is nothing more devastating than losing a child. We extend our deepest condolences to the students' families and friends."
The youngest deceased victim, Noah Francis, 15, was an orphan who had just moved from Kansas to live with his older sister here.
The Rev. Michael Duffy of St. Kilian Church, which three of the young people attended, said, "We visited one of the families, we prayed with them. This is one of those days when your homily goes right out the window.
"There are no words when an event like this occurs."
