Stream America's Next Top Model

We spent the last month recommending plenty of great shows and movies to stream online, but what have the members of the Decider enjoyed in the last week? We'd like to share that with you, too — and tell you where to stream them, of course.
Blue Mountain State
After last week's Afternoon Delight special featuring Blue Mountain State, I realized I've actually only seen a few episodes from when my younger brother used to have it on back in the day. So, I revisited it, starting from the pilot. By 15 minutes in, I had to remind myself, "Holy shit… this used to be on cable." If you're into frat-boy/bro parodies like The League, Blue Mountain State is right up your alley. Just don't watch it at your desk. There are a couple of episodes here and there that are safe, but they're few and very far between.—Olivia Armstrong [Netflix]
America's Next Top Model
I drank the office Kool-Aid this week and started to get sucked into The League. I don't care at all about football, but I do care very much about all of Rafi's insanely hilarious antics.
I've also been watching America's Next Top Model on Hulu Plus. This is the second season that they've pitted boys against the girls, and I'm not sure if I like it or not. The mixed-gender cast definitely makes for more drama (and it is amazing to see a grown man get a makeover that includes a "beard weave"), but this is definitely not the show I used to love. It's barely a modeling competition anymore. It's just like The Real World with photoshoots. —Meghan O'Keefe [Hulu Plus]
Derek
This week I streamed the pilot episode of Derek on Netflix. It's a super quirky and light-hearted show with some pretty funny and lovable moments. It's not the type of show that you have to actively watch – if you miss a part, it's not a big deal. I'm still not sure if Ricky Gervais' character is offensive or not. I will probably watch another episode or so before I decide if it's binge-worthy.—Jaclyn Kessel [Netflix]
The House Of The Devil
There is no podcast that I look forward to more than the Bret Easton Ellis Podcast. This week's episode featured a lengthy conversation with director Ti West, during which Bret could NOT! STOP! RAVING! about West's 2009 film The House Of The Devil. I saw it when it was first released, and I fondly remembered it as being very scary. However, after rewatching this tale of a college-age babysitter who takes a mysterious yet high paying gig on the night of the lunar eclipse on Netflix this week, I realized that I had sorely misunderestimated its power. The movie is not merely "very scary"; rather, it is FUCKING TERRIFYING! (In the best possible way, of course.)—Mark Graham [GoWatchIt]
The X-Files: "Musings Of A Cigarette-Smoking Man"
In the '90s, I, like millions of global citizens, was way into The X-Files. The paranormal-fueled, paranoia-stoking mood fit the pre-turn of the millennium times perfectly. Reminded by Tyler Coates of this show's spellbinding power, I re-watched a favorite episode: "Musings Of A Cigarette Smoking Man," the Season Four entry that provided (finally!) some background on William B. Davis' chain-puffing, navy-suited New World Order player. The Cigarette Smoking man killed JFK? Makes sense. Martin Luther King, too? Shocking, and sad. And to use his considerable reach to prevent the Buffalo Bills from winning a Super Bowl? Well, that's just cruel.—Conrad Doucette [Netflix]
Pootie Tang
Pootie Tang is one odd little movie. Based on a sketch from The Chris Rock Show and directed by none other than Louis C.K., the movie follows the titular character (played by Lance Crouther) on a variety of journeys that go seemingly nowhere. A send-up of the blaxploitation films of the '70s, it features hilarious performances by Chris Rock (playing three characters), Jennifer Coolidge, J.B. Smoove, and a pretty bitchin' Wanda Sykes, who spends the entirety of the film in a rotating collection of wigs. It's the sort of movie you just have to see for yourself, and if you like it, you love it. —Tyler Coates [GoWatchIt]
