A violent pervert with a lengthy criminal record was arrested in a brutal attempted rape at a crowded Hell's Kitchen nightspot, police said.
Ricardo Lambert, 34, who lives on West 50th street in Manhattan, was charged Saturday with first-degree attempted rape after the 34-year-old victim identified him out of a lineup as her attacker.
He allegedly jumped the 34-year-old woman as she left the bathroom at Flaming Saddles Bar on 9th Avenue at 10:35 p.m. on Oct. 3. He choked her into unconsciousness then ran off with her underwear when bar security stepped in to halt the sick attack, cops said.
The victim – who didn't know her attacker – was taken to a nearby hospital.
The suspect was caught on surveillance footage walking up stairs inside the bar.
Lambert has been arrested about two dozen times for crimes ranging from assault and forcible touching to trespassing, police said.
Flaming Saddles was selected as "Best Gay Bar" by New York Magazine in 2012.
