Chipotle really wants you to like their new vegetarian Sofritas tofu.
And they'll give you a free burrito to try it out.
This Monday, Jan 26. all Chipotle restaurants in the U.S. and Canada are offering a free burrito bowl, burrito, salad or tacos — with any protein of your choice — to anyone who purchases an organic tofu Sofritas item. All you have to do is bring your receipt back to Chipotle from Jan. 27 through Feb. 15, 2015.
So basically, it's a buy-one get-one offer, but with average burrito prices hovering around $10, this is a pretty good deal.
People on the Internet are getting pretty excited about it.
And what exactly are Sofritas? In Chipotle's own words, they "start with organic tofu from Hodo Soy that we shred and then braise with chipotle chilis, roasted poblanos, and a blend of aromatic spices." The claim that vegans and carnivores alike will "love" it.
Remember, pork is off the menu at about a third of Chipotle locations around the country, so if you're craving a free Carnitas taco, call ahead first.
