Thieves steal doggy day care van with 6 dogs inside

They should be brought to 'ruff' justice.

Chicago police are on the hunt for two cold-hearted thieves who hijacked a doggy day care van carrying seven pooches Wednesday afternoon, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

The driver was sitting in the unmarked van belonging to Urban Out Sitters in the River West neighborhood at about 3:50 p.m. when the duo walked up to the window and trained a gun on him, the paper reported.

The goons ordered the driver out of the 2002 Chrysler Town and Country, and sped off with the precious cargo.

"Fifteen years in business and this is probably the most devastating thing I've had to deal with," distraught day care owner Joseph Giannini told the Sun-Times.

Giannini had to break the news to the pups' heartbroken owners.

"I got a text from my wife saying my dog had been kidnapped," Tad Tomita told WABC. "I couldn't comprehend what that meant. I called her back immediately and she told me what happened and I was just in shock."

A second owner hoped the pooches would turn up before another bone-chilling night in the Windy City.

"We really want the van to be left somewhere that people will hear the dogs barking or see the van or the cops will find the van so we can get them home before they freeze to death," Laura Potts told WABC.

Tomita added of his pup, Mochi, "I'm really worried she may not survive the night if we can't find her."

Investigators could only describe the dognappers as men between 18 and 25-years-old.
