How To Livestream March Madness … For Free!

Even if you haven't watched a single minute of college basketball this year, chances are you joined 40 million other Americans and filled out a March Madness bracket sometime in the last few days, either at the office or at school. So now that you have some actual American dollars invested in who's going to be named the NCAA college basketball champion on Monday, April 6—we're guessing you probably picked Kentucky—it's time to start watching some games!

If you're a hardcore fan, you've probably called in sick to work and will be posted up at a bar somewhere for the next four days. If you're a casual fan, though, here are some easy tips and tricks on how to watch the games online (without your boss being any the wiser).

The most comprehensive way to watch March Madness is to download the March Madness Live app, which is available on CBS Sports's app, B/R Team Stream, the App Store, the Amazon App Store, Windows Store and Google Play. The app is free to download, but in order to watch games, you will be required to authenticate with your cable service provider. (Note: All games being broadcast on CBS do not require registration.)

If you don't have access to your mobile phone or tablet during the day and would prefer to watch it in your browser, that's easy, too. You can login to watch any of the games by heading to either www.ncaa.com/marchmadness or www.cbssports.com or www.bleacherreport.com. Pro tip: Be sure to keep another tab open so you can quickly toggle if your spot your boss making a beeline towards you!

If you're a subscriber to CBS All Access, you're in luck! You'll be able to see a number of the games, but not all of them. Here's how to find out which games will be on CBS. If you're not a subscriber, you're in luck; they're currently offering a free one-week trial to the service.

This is also a terrific time to check out Sling TV, which includes access to TBS and TNT (along with a bunch of other awesome networks like ESPN, HGTV and more). Sling TV is also currently offering subscribers a free one-week trial of the service, so what better time to give it a whirl than the next four days when 48 different games will be played? (If you're a college hoops superfan, you're gonna want to add the Lifestyle extra channel package for an additional $5/mo. so you can watch the games that are being broadcast on TruTV.)

If you don't need up-to-the-second livestreaming but want to stay up on the action, you might want to bookmark the official NCAA March Madness YouTube channel, which will be posting highlight clips pretty much constantly over the next fortnight.

Good luck with your bracket, and here's hoping you picked Kentucky to win it all!
