Teen rescues 4-year-old sister from ‘kidnapper’

A 13-year-old boy in Southern California is being hailed a hometown hero after he rescued his 4-year-old sister from a would-be kidnapper.

The brave teen jumped into action when Earl Williams, 61, allegedly entered the fenced yard of their Lancaster home, asked the young girl her name and then attempted to walk away with her, ABC Los Angeles reports.

As he tried to leave with the girl in tow, her brother stepped in and stopped Williams in his tracks — grabbing his sister's arm and yelling for help, police said.

Locals quickly flagged down Lancaster deputies patrolling in the area and directed them to Williams, according to police.

Neighbor Jasmine Watts knew something was up when she spotted the suspected kidnapper while walking with her son.

"He was just calling me, 'Hey, come here. Come here.' I don't know this guy, never seen him before," she told ABC. "He was already talking to himself when me and my son came outside, so I'm just like, 'Okay, this is really weird.'"

Williams was arrested and charged with kidnapping, police said. He is currently being held on $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
